At Kalories, we respect your privacy. This policy clearly and simply explains what data we process, how and why. The app is designed to work without accounts or tracking.
Developer: Kalori.es
For any privacy-related enquiries, you can write to us through the contact form on the website.
The application does not collect personal data or send information to external servers. The data you enter (foods, recipes, quantities, notes, goals and optionally images taken with the camera or selected from your photo library) is stored locally on your device and synced only through your private iCloud account across your devices.
As we do not collect personal data on servers, there is no processing for marketing, profiling or third-party sharing purposes. The processing performed by the app is purely local to provide its features.
iCloud synchronisation is managed by Apple under its own privacy policies.
We do not share data with third parties and do not make international transfers. Data remains on the user's device and in their private iCloud account.
The food and preparation sharing feature (.kal) is initiated exclusively by the user and sent through the medium of their choice (AirDrop, email, etc.).
We recommend protecting your device with a passcode, Touch ID or Face ID. App data is stored in local operating system files and synced with iCloud under Apple's security measures.
Shared files (.kal) are encrypted with AES-128 to protect their content.
Data is kept on your device and in iCloud for as long as you keep the app installed or until you delete it. You can delete data from within the app, by uninstalling Kalories, or by managing your iCloud storage.
As we do not process data on our own servers, access, rectification or deletion rights are exercised by you directly on the device. You can export your data as a backup from the app settings.
If you need help, contact us through the website.
Kalories may request the following permissions to provide specific features:
These permissions are optional. You can deny them and continue using most features. Manage your choice in Settings > Privacy on iOS.
If this policy changes, we will indicate it in an app update and ask you to review the changes before continuing.
